Rules and regulations for family members of residents to reference.

Packages

  1. Packages may only be delivered Monday through Friday between the hours of 8 am and 4 pm on the 2nd and 4th week of the month.  Package requests must be current. 

  2. All package requests must be approved by your counselor.  Any packages not approved may be sent back with the person who brought them or may result in confiscation of items.  

  3. All items brought in must be reflected on the package request.  

  4. Clothing (including underwear, socks, etc.) can only be accepted in the 2nd week of the month.  Any clothing coming in at other times must be approved by the Clinical Supervisor.  No exceptions.  

  5. All clothing items must be heat processed by environmental crew upon arrival. The Environmental Crew will dry the clothing articles in the dryer on the highest setting for 30 minutes.  After clothing has been dried for 30 minutes the Environmental Crew will deliver the clothing to the dorm and place on the resident’s bed. 

  6. You must stay within the clothing allowance. If you have clothes brought in, make arrangements to have your family pick up the clothes you are no longer needing.  Any clothing over the clothing allowance may be confiscated and donated to DC4 community.  

  7. List specific items.  As opposed to “hygiene”, list shampoo, soap, lotion, etc.  

  8. If your residence at DC4 is terminated for any reason (jail sanction, absconded, etc.), your designated family member/friend has 30 days after your last day at DC4 to pick up your belongings. After 30 days, these items are discarded and/or donated to DC4.
